▏ABOUT RODRIGO ▏

Rodrigo was one of the pioneers regarding the development of Zouk in Brasil and he is the owner and the lead instructor of Universidade de Danca de Salao in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, which has offered instruction to more than 11,000 students.

Rodrigo has taught classes in forró, tango and samba de gafieira for sixteen years, but is best known as a highly respected international Zouk instructor.

Rodrigo’s particular style of teaching is based on the learning theory of Dynamical Systems, which focuses on creating a more organic and less mechanical learning process.

His classes emphasizes on the fluidity of the dance, while paying a great deal of attention to the woman’s head movement. His overall goal as an instructor is to make dancing a more accessible and pleasurable experience for everyone. Rodrigo travels and teaches all over the world at international congresses, and is also responsible for arranging the BHZouk Congress every year.
