This advanced Tango class is for experienced dancers ready to move beyond steps and into intention, precision, and musical depth. We’ll focus on the subtleties that separate competent dancers from compelling ones — control, timing, embrace, and choice. This is not a review of fundamentals; it’s a space to sharpen them under pressure.
Admission is by instructor approval to ensure a focused, high-level learning environment for everyone in the room.
What You’ll Work On:
- Advanced navigation and floorcraft for social milongas
- Refined embrace, axis control, and weight transfers
- Musical interpretation beyond the phrase — pauses, suspensions, and contrast
- Complex turns, changes of direction, and shared balance
- Nuanced lead/follow dialogue rooted in technique, not force
- Dancing with clarity, calm, and intention
