On Friday, July 15, 'Music on the Line' is collaborating with poet, photographer and dancer, Wang Ping, with an evening of live music, spoken word and guest artists. 8-11pm No cover!
Wang Ping on Being Good vs. Being Wild
Native Chinese-speaker Wang Ping discusses the unexpected shift in her writing voice whether composing her poetry in English or in Chinese. Born in Shanghai, Wang emigrated to the United States in 1985 and ultimately earned her Ph.D. from New York University. A writer, photographer and multi-media artist, she is the recipient of many awards, including a Minnesota Book Award, a Bush Artist Fellowship and a McKnight Artist Fellowship.
