For centuries, civilizations have used stars to tell stories, navigate, and predict the seasons. Unfortunately, light pollution from cities decreases how many stars we can see in the night sky. Travel to Thurmond Chatham Wildlife Management Area near Wilkesboro, NC, for a darker night sky than we can find in Mecklenburg County. Spend an evening observing the sky above with Quest educators.
Transportation Provided! Meet at Quest Nature Center and travel together to TCWMA in the Nature Center van.
