Laughter Yoga's 31st Anniversary- Global Celebration

Whether you are a laughter yogi or a laughter enthusiast, everyone is welcome to join in this global Laughter Yoga 31st Anniversary Celebration. People from all over the world are encouraged to join us for laughter and more! Co-hosted by Master Trainers Keyem Thomez (Bahrain) and Alexa Drubay (Philadelphia Area), our special guests Master Trainers Lee-Jean (Malaysia) and Joe Hoare (UK) will also be presenting their LY stories and some exercises. Some participants will also sharing how Laughter Yoga has shaped their lives.

Laughter Yoga is a global laughter exercise program which includes yogic breathing exercises and mindfulness. We choose to laugh for our health. When we laugh deeply for 30 seconds, we are oxygenating our bodies . Our bodies are flooeded with happy chemicals- our dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin and endorphins increase, while our cortisol stress hormones are reduced.

When we laugh together, we are in the moment. We laugh in support of one another, rather than at others.

From that first laughter club started by Dr. Madan Kataria and wife Madhuri on March 13, 1995 in Mumbai, India Laughter Yoga has evolved into a global sensation . Today , Laughter Yoga can be found in 120+ countries and at thousands of laughter clubs- at schools, hospitals, community centers, with recovery groups, corporate groups, in senior communities and beyond.
