Introduction & Garden Planning

In an effort to keep our meeting secure, I’ve put a passcode on this meeting and will send the password via email to all Gardeners the day before the meeting.

In this meeting;

• I’ll introduce my history growing plants, gardening & farming, my education in sustainable agriculture & permaculture design, and my continued studies.

• Next is a presentation defining permaculture and presenting basic considerations of successful Garden Planning from an holistic ecological and practical urban perspective.

• Finally we’ll open discussion on this month’s topics, garden activities, and discuss future topics and events.

Even if it’s just a container garden, caring for plants connects you to nature. The more you open yourself to learning about our nonhuman relatives, the more they will provide for you and enrich your life.

Quick questions about general gardening issues, best practices, sourcing materials, and sharing knowledge of ecological solutions are encouraged in the group discussion and group chat.

However, this is NOT a group to troubleshoot issues with individual plants, group plan individual gardens, and take over the event to get free garden consulting services. This IS a group to learn and share the theory and practices behind successful gardening, to give you the knowledge and resources to design your garden for optimum health and grow plants for food and medicine efficiently through working with the natural world.
