## How Meetup fits in
This Meetup group is a low-pressure way to discover improv and meet the community.
Many people first find Laughy Place through Meetup, attend a class or two, and then decide whether they’d like to continue by booking directly through my website.
Meetup is meant to feel easy, friendly, and commitment-free.
***
## Free sessions & paid classes
Meetup participants are welcome to attend up to three free sessions — no strings attached.
If you decide you’d like to keep coming, paid registration through the website helps cover real costs like venue rental, insurance, and program management, and allows Laughy Place Improv to continue running sustainably.
There’s no pressure to convert — just an open invitation when you’re ready.

## Important note about space

## About me
Hi — I’m Ben.
Improv has been a huge source of joy, connection, and stress relief in my life for many years. I started teaching improv in March 2025 after a sudden change in my regular day job gave me the push to seriously pursue something I love.
I launched Laughy Place Improv because “improv” was the answer when someone asked me what my dream job would be if money weren’t the main constraint.
My goal is to build an improv community that’s fun, welcoming, and easy to be part of — a place where people know your name, are glad to see you again, and where you can set aside daily pressures for a while and just play.

If you’re curious, nervous, excited, or somewhere in between — you’re welcome here.
Hope to laugh with you soon.
