Artificial intelligence can generate ideas, analyze information, and perform tasks with remarkable speed. Yet it cannot inhabit your body, access your lived experience, know what you deeply value, or determine what is right for you. As AI becomes increasingly present in entrepreneurship, strengthening our own ways of knowing becomes more important.
Presented as part of Colorado Startup Week, this interactive 90-minute workshop invites entrepreneurs to reconnect with the intelligence of the body. Becky Prater and Jaime Foster will guide participants through three essential capacities: sovereignty, intuition, and discernment.
Sovereignty means retaining authority over your choices and taking responsibility for the direction of your life and business. Intuition gives you access to information that may arrive as a bodily sensation, an immediate impression, or a quiet sense of knowing. Discernment helps you understand that information and consider it alongside your values, experience, responsibilities, and circumstances.
Through conversation and experiential practices, participants will explore how the body communicates. They will learn about interoception—the ability to notice internal sensations—and begin identifying how a yes, a no, uncertainty, fear, and excitement may feel within them. Becky and Jaime will also introduce sway testing as a practice for bringing focused attention to the body’s response. Participants will ask questions, receive guidance from one another, and pause before responding so they can notice what their bodies communicate.
This workshop treats bodily awareness as a capacity we develop through attention and practice. A physical response offers information that can be interpreted through reflection and discernment. The goal is to build a stronger relationship with yourself so that outside advice—including advice from AI—remains one source of information among many.
Participants will leave with practical ways to access their intuition, recognize their internal signals, and make decisions with greater confidence.
Technology will continue to change. Our ability to know ourselves, trust what we perceive, and choose consciously remains essential.
