Book Review with Sarah McKay-Lynch
Details
Join us (in person) for a Zoom session with Sarah MacKay-Lynch. Sarah is a certified parent coach who specializes in working with patents of adolescents and young adults. Sarah writes, "Over the past year, when parents come to me to talk about their young adult, they often seem to be pulling from a universal list of parenting “nightmares”: their child has no goals, they’re gaming or scrolling all day, they make TERRIBLE housemates, and they’re either refusing help—or don’t seem to be making much progress in life.
Now that their child is an adult (or almost one), the old playbook doesn’t work anymore.
The place where these parents seem to most often get stuck is in not knowing what role they're playing in the dynamic.
That's exactly what I want to talk about---and it's why I'm hosting a free virtual BOOK REVIEW on April 2nd (and again on April 8th). We'll be diving into The Parents' Launch Code by clinical psychologist, Jack Stoltzfus."
What we'll cover:
What is actually going on beneath the surface of what looks like "lazy" behavior
The shifts parents need to make to move their child towards independence
How to start rebuilding a connection without losing the boundaries that matter
Q&A — bring your real questions, Sarah will answer them honestly.
We'll attend the Zoom session together and then have time to discuss afterward.
