Yosemite ??? [Memorial Day Wknd]
Details
Hi friends,
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there.
If any mom hasn't seen this old video before, it's a good one imo:

Okay...so it's my fault for procrastinating on this...but would anyone be interested in camping at Yosemite during Memorial Day weekend?
This is short notice, so my expectations are very low.
Here's my situation:
I'm incredibly busy in the upcoming weeks.
I'm volunteering for the children's camp for kids who lost a loved one / family member during this upcoming weekend in mid-May, end of May in Massachusetts, and then early June in Virginia...
...so tbh, I don't know if I have the time and energy to also go/plan a camping trip.
I'm 50/50 on going.
In the next few days, I'll try to decide.
I'm 100% fine on canceling and not going. I honestly am incredibly busy & stressed for the upcoming days and weeks.
If anyone else wants to go, feel free to lmk if you'd be interested in going on your own, or with other group members.
I'm not 100% sure, and could be wrong--but I feel people can still use my campsite reservation even if I'm not there.
The campsite reservation is in Yosemite Valley, which is very popular and can get crowded, especially during holiday weekends.
This is ideal for those who have camping experience and can be independent.
In years past, when I planned camping trips, I had more time to help newbies / beginners with answering questions, preparing for the trip, coordinating carpooling, etc... -- but now, I'm usually exhausted after work, so I honestly don't have much capacity / bandwidth to deal with stressful planning.
I recently saw a news poll that said 30-40% people are cutting back on expenses and reducing their travel plans due to higher gas prices--so totally understandable if nobody is interested in this or it's too late to request time off work.
But in case anyone really wants to see the waterfalls, mountains, and beauty of Yosemite--then lmk and maybe others can join you.
If this is too short notice, I just made the impulsive decision earlier today to possibly go to Rocky Mountain National Park in mid June b/c a friend invited me to something in Denver.
So that's a potential trip.
And I'm still planning for
Glacier National Park in Montana during July 3 - 11
Grand Teton in Wyoming during July 13 - 17
Yellowstone during July 18 - 25
If gas prices don't scare you away, then those trips are close to 99% happening for me.
As always, we know there's a lot of chaotic, unstable, and stressful stuff going on in the city, state, country, and world--so I sincerely hope you all are doing well and taking care of yourselves.
I should decide in the upcoming days.
I'll try to find time to add a Google Doc with more details / info if others are serious about going.
