http://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/1/8/1/c/event_167346172.jpegReal user measurement is surging in popularity. It's the only way to cover every single browser, location, and page that your visitors use on your site. But the true power of real user measurement isn't simply using new tools to produce the same charts from the synthetic world, but from looking at those traditional metrics in the context of what your users actually do on your site.

In this talk Buddy will discuss how real user performance data can be used to understand the human impact of good and bad web performance. We'll discuss some global trends using data collected by the real user measurement company Buddy co-founded. Finally, we'll talk about how you can perform similar studies on your own site's data.

At the end of this talk you should have new ideas of how you can quantify the impact slow pages have on your key business metrics like bounce and conversion rates.
