Ghost Investigation

This evening, we have the opportunity to explore and investigate the four-story Lebold Mansion, also known as the Addams Family Mansion of Abilene. The cost for this event is $40 per person. Funds will be collected by the time we leave on the day of the event. Participants must be 18 years of age or older.

The plan is for those wishing to rideshare or travel in caravan from Lawrence or places further east to meet and then go to Topeka to pick up any folks from there who wish to join in the fun and get out to Abilene for dinner around 5pm.

The gathering in Lawrence will be at 2:15 with departure a few minutes later so that we get to Topeka by 3pm and take off from there just a few minutes afterward. That will put us on target for arrival in Abilene on time.

Once we get to Abilene, we will meet Joseph Tatner, the owner of the Lebold Mansion, for dinner at Fuji Asian Kitchen for some excellent Chinese and Japanese cuisine as well as sushi.

At 7pm, we will all head to the mansion a mere 1.5 miles away and start the time exploring the various levels of the home.

There are some rules that will be observed. Anyone caught violating them will be removed and not allowed back to the site and no refund will be provided.

1. Any room that has a "Closed" tag hanging on the doorknob will not be entered. This is Joseph's home, so his privacy will be respected.

2. There will be no use of tarot cards, Ouija boards, or other similar devices that can potentially create portals or otherwise allow negative entities access to the mansion.

3. There will be no consumption of alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicants prior to or during the investigation. Everyone will be required to be clean and sober both for their own safety and for the safety of everyone else. This is especially true for anyone who is driving.

Lawrence Paranormal Investigations has a fair amount of equipment that is open to our folks to use. It must be checked out through me and returned to me in the same operable condition. If you have other equipment that you wish to bring for your use, please feel free to do so. You shall remain responsible for the use and care of your equipment whether you use it or you allow someone else to do so.
