Alexander Park Early Sunday Fun Park Walk - 3 or 6 Miles Paved/Unpaved Trail

Join us for a fun walk/hike at Alexander Park near Scenic Highway in Lawrenceville. We will walk both the paved loop and the inner nature (disc golf) trail for a total of about 3 miles. Anyone who wants to do it twice with the group will get 6 miles total.

Trail Description:
"This loop trail passes by a fishing lake and small pond and travels through both pasture and woodland." -All Trails

Easy

Distance:
Choose to do 3 miles or repeat the loop for 6 miles.

Estimated Duration:
2 - 2.5 + hours

Pace:
Strenuous, 2.5-3.0 mph. Please be able to keep up a strenuous pace with the group.

Meet near the restrooms at the main parking lot near Scenic Hwy entrace.

Note: Not the entrance near Old Snellville Rd. If you enter at Old Snellville Rd, continue through the parking lot to the other side of the park and the large parking lot.

Event Guidelines

• We will begin promptly at the listed time. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early so we can start together.
• This group is for people ages 18 and over who are Meetup members, and each person may bring up to one adult guest.
• Bring water, snacks, and any gear you may need (e.g., trekking poles, flashlight, rain gear).
• We welcome beginners. But if you are new to hiking or unsure if you can maintain the listed pace and duration, please do some prep walks in advance. Hikers who cannot keep pace may slow down or stop the group.
• If you decide to leave the hike for any reason, we request that you let someone in the group know.
