Details
Join the Lay Disciples of the Chung Tai Zen Center of Houston as we begin the new year with a mindfulness meditation class designed to bring clarity, calm, and balance into your life.
This semester, we’ll explore foundational Buddhist teachings that help us understand the mind and transform daily stress into wisdom:
What You’ll Learn:
• Suffering (Dukkha) – What it really means and why it arises
• The Causes of Suffering – How habits, desires, and attachments shape our experiences
• The Cessation of Suffering – Practical ways to bring peace to the mind
• The Path Out of Suffering – A step-by-step approach toward clarity and inner freedom.
Each class includes guided meditation, practical instruction, and a welcoming environment for both beginners and experienced practitioners.
Before You Come:
• Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to complete enrollment and settle in
• Cell phones must be turned off inside the Zen Center
• Wear comfortable, modest clothing – Please avoid yoga pants, leggings, crop tops, sleeveless tops, shorts, or revealing clothing – Socks required.
Start your year with mindfulness, intention, and a peaceful mind.
We warmly welcome you to join us and begin 2026 with clarity and purpose.
