Meetup: Wildflowers Hike at Weir Canyon and Dinner at Vegan Pizza/LH/Shanes!

Join us this Memorial Weekend to see the many wildflowers on the Weir Canyon Loop Trail followed by dinner at the all 100% plant-based, (the choice is yours since they are all in the same plaza!) Vegan Pizza, Loving Hut, or Shane's Tamales!!!

There is no poppies superbloom this year :(, but California wildflowers are once again in full bloom and are a beautiful site to behold.

Plan: Meet at the trail head by 2pm, and please come 15min early as we will not be waiting long for "stragglers" lol. After the hike let's all meetup at Vegan Pizza in Garden Grove. For those just wanting to meet us for dinner, plan to arrive at Vegan Pizza around 4:30pm.

Important info:

1. The hike is 3.8 miles long and takes about 1.5-2 hours to complete.
2. The hike is rated as moderate because there are some hills and you will get a mild cardio workout. It's definitely not like a walk in the park on or the beach but is on the easier side for anybody who hikes typical trails around OC.
3. There is definitely a large uphill part of the trail at the beginning, so if you feel that you may have trouble keeping up with the group, it may be best, for this hike (we host other easier hikes), to just meet us for dinner. :)
4. Leashed Dogs are allowed
5. There are no bathrooms or porta-potties so come prepared (maybe stop some place close to use a restroom before the hike- like Oak Canyon Nature Center) and definitely bring water but be sure to drink it sparingly and only as necessary before and during the hike :!
6. Dress appropriately, bring water, wear hiking footwear, bring your hiking poles if wanted, sun screen, hat if it will be sunny, backpack, etc.
7. Please be respectful of the wild flowers although I know it is very tempting to want to romp and roll around among the flowers lol.
