#2 - People & Process

Details

Following an inspiring first event I am pleased to announce the second event for LDR Community of practice, which is a series of leadership events for current & aspiring leaders within the software engineering & technology space to hear from two well know faces within the Manchester Tech Community. Our aim is for you to come and learn something, develop those skills and then recycle them through your own teams. It will be a collaborative environment giving you a chance to ask questions to the speakers and connect with other leaders who attend.

Location: Bonded Warehouse, 18 Lower Byrom Street, Manchester, M3 4AP
Building is next to the Crystal Maze, will include image with instructions

Rough Agenda:

5:30 - Doors open for pizza & networking
6:30 - First talk followed by questions
7 - Break for more pizza (if any left)
7:15 - Second & final talk followed by questions
8 - Wrap up & Networking
8:30 - Home time

Our speakers are...

Danielle Summers, Engineering Practice Manager
Title: "Managing Traumatic Liminality & RSD"

Description: It took someone paying attention to tell me that what I felt wasn’t OK. Since then I’ve embarked on a journey to understand not only myself but also those I lead, with so many unique voices sharing very different stories. The common thread is the language we use, and how we use it, and I want to give you a little glimpse into why this is the most important thing in our lives today.

Bio: Seasoned engineer, petrolhead, tech nerd, dog mom & generally a little crazy

Matt Carr, Director of Architecture & Engineering
Title: “People, Process and Technology - Leadership In The Modern Age”

Description: After two and half decades into journey within technology and leadership one thing has remained the same - focusing on just the technology will not deliver the results you or your organisation requires. Join me as I explore why your focus should be on the people, first, then process and use technology as the enabler. Here I will explain some real-life stories from my life across change and transformation work which will help you in your journey.

Bio: Builder of environments where people do their best work, runner, craft ale and cat lover (not all at the same time though!), authentically me.

Here's to an exciting year in 2024 of events and networking!

Any questions then please do get in touch!

Look forward to seeing you all there!

Josh
