Opening Talk (Reinforcement Learning with Video Games)
Google Colab is now giving you access to newer and faster GPU's. Chris (https://www.linkedin.com/in/phoenixtechnerd/) will show you how to get up and running to start training your own Sonic 2 speed running bot using state of the art reinforcement learning algorithms and the free Google Colab GPU.
Main Talk (Probabilistic Reasoning Using Bayes' Rule)
This data science talk will introduce the field of probabilistic reasoning using a Bayesian framework and its applications in Machine Learning. A business use case from the banking and transaction processing domain will be used to demonstrate the underlying concepts, and real data and results from the implementation of this use case will be presented and discussed. The talk will explain how mathematics developed in the 18th century underlies a great deal of machine learning that enables today’s businesses to make intelligent decisions and improve their outcomes. The talk is intended for both aspiring and professional data scientists. The goal is that after attending this talk, attendees should be able to start applying Bayesian inference to their own projects at work.
