What we’re about

COVID-19 update (June 8): We’ve been carefully reviewing the situation around the world regarding Covid-19 and the effect it has had on our community and our ability to come together at large conferences. To bring some certainty, and so that our entire community can feel comfortable travelling to and attending our events, we have decided to further postpone our in-person conferences until 2021.

We’re continuing to follow advice from public health authorities and will only relaunch our in-person meetups when it’s safe to do so. In the meantime, we look forward to connecting with the community virtually. Join our Slack workspace, follow us on Twitter and let’s stay connected.

The Lead Developer is an international community for technical leaders: engineering managers, VPs engineering and CTOs. You can join us at events in London, Berlin, New York, Austin, San Francisco, Tokyo and now Edinburgh!

Our meetups are an extension of our annual conferences for the community to get together, network and get some tips on how to lead and manage tech teams. Featuring short talks and refreshments, it's the perfect opportunity for some mid-week inspiration.

Check out our YouTube channel for 170+ conference videos on overcoming imposter syndrome, levelling up to a leadership role, building an inclusive & sustainable team and so much more at LeadDev.com.

🔹 Code of conduct 🔹

Our meetup is a safe and inclusive space. We expect all of our attendees to read and follow our code of conduct.

🔸 Accessibility & inclusion 🔸

We make sure to use venues that are wheelchair users, feature accessible toilet, and often have gender-inclusive toilet facilities. To help make our meetups more welcoming, we provide non-alcoholic drinks and vegetarian/vegan food options. If you have any specific accessibility requirements, please let us know.
