Public Speaking & Leadership Practice in Porto | Toastmasters open meeting

Ever felt your heart race before speaking up in a meeting, a presentation, or an interview? You’re not alone, and this is the place to work on it. 😄💪

Oporto Toastmasters Club (OTC) meets every Monday at 20:45 at UPTEC Asprela I, near Pólo Universitário metro station. We’re a supportive community that practices public speaking, communication, and leadership in a real, safe to learn, hands-on environment.

What to expect

• Prepared speeches: members deliver 5-7 min talks and receive constructive, friendly feedback
• Table Topics: impromptu speaking exercises that build quick thinking and confidence
• Roles and teamwork: practice leading a meeting, timing, evaluating, and more
• Networking: meet people from different fields, from university students to experienced professionals

Who it’s for
Anyone who wants to communicate with more confidence and impact: students preparing to enter the job market, professionals aiming for leadership roles, founders refining their pitch, or simply curious people. No experience needed, and nobody is forced to speak on their first visits - just enjoy 😉

Good to know

• Hybrid meetings: You can attend in-person or online.
• Language of the sessions: 1st, 3rd and 5th Mondays of the month, sessions in Portuguese / 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month, sessions in English
