Dickens on the Strand
Details
People in Victorian-era costumes, carolers, street urchins, bagpipe bands, steampunkers, Father Christmas, you never know what you'll see at Dickens on the Strand in Galveston. Let's go take it all in.
Let's carpool/caravan from Rudy's at 9:15 or so on the morning of Saturday December 6th and figure on staying for two hours or so, depending of course on our individual stamina. Bring your camera. No special optics necessary -- a normal/kit lens will work just fine -- and you'll probably find a tripod will just get in your way, so don't bother with that. It's your call on whether to bring a flash.
If you prefer to go to Galveston on your own, feel free to do so.
Tickets at the gate are $25, but you get a break on the price if you come in Victorian costume.
