Sunrise at the Texas City Dike
Details
Let's try this again. We tried to photograph the sunrise from the Texas City Dike last year and got pushed out by high winds and cold temperatures. This time around, the weather forecast calls for a low of about 60 degrees and sunny weather on March 19th. The daytime high should be around 80, so I expect better conditions.
The sunrise will occur at an azimuth of due east, so it should be pretty close to the lighthouse on Bolivar Peninsula. A few clouds will help, but I don't expect many. Bring a long telephoto if you have one, but otherwise any lens will work just fine.
Sunrise will occur at 7:24 a.m., moonrise shortly afterwards. The moon phase will be waxing crescent.
