Talk: 3 OKR Misconceptions that ruin OKR implementations

Description:

OKR is trending like never before… It has become the next box to check as part of change and transformation initiatives. OKRs promise focus, alignment, commitment, trackability and innovation. People hear about the idealized stories how OKRs helped organizations to become successful and want to have a piece of the cake, too: “When it worked for Google, it must work for us too!”. But OKR is not a silver bullet and to work well it needs a little more than just articulating goals. To activate the real power of OKR organizations need to shift from output to outcome thinking, enable participative strategy co-creation and critically re-think their organizational structures.

In this talk Cansel shares 3 misconceptions and how to overcome them to ensure a successful OKR implementation.
• Output vs. Outcome vs. Impact
• OKR with(out) Strategy
• Organization chart ≠ OKR teams

If you work with OKR or plan to, join this talk to improve your OKRs or to avoid common mistakes.
