Deeper Dive into the Agile Fluency Suite

Details

How Agile are we? How mature is our team, or our organization? Are we high-performing?

If you've ever asked, or been asked, a question like this, the Buffalo Agile MeetUp is the place for you! On April 5th, Diana Larsen will join us to talk about the Agile Fluency Model. Diana co-founded the Agile Fluency Project with James Shore, and they set out with the goal that every team should work at the level of fluency that best fits their business’ needs.

So what exactly is the Agile Fluency Model?
At its foundation, the Agile Fluency Model describes an agile team’s pathway. It's a model to chart a course for a team, create alignment with management, and secure organizational support for improvement.

Whether learning to speak a language, play an instrument, or develop software in a new and better way, the pathway to fluency involves deliberate practice. Deliberate practice involves regularly and consistently practicing a skill with increasing levels of challenge and the intention of mastering that skill. The Agile Fluency Model is a model of team fluency. Team fluency depends on more than the capabilities of the individuals on the team... It also depends on management structures, relationships, and organizational culture, as well as the tools, technologies, and practices the teams use.
