Details
Digital changed everything, but strategy hasn’t kept up.
This year-long series dives into the strategic patterns shaping modern Services and Tech — starting with disintermediation, where organisations cut out legacy players and collapse value chains to reshape entire markets.
In this first session, we’ll use Wardley Maps (no prior experience required) to:
- Break down one of Digital’s most common patterns: the Disintermediation play
- Map the pattern visually to show how Wardley Maps cut through complexity and reveal real strategic options
- Learn through practical, grounded examples — not theory — to build confidence in modern strategic thinking
- Assess where your organisation may be vulnerable to disruption, and where you might be able to disrupt others
- Strengthen your strategic leadership — whether you’re in the C-suite, a business function, tech, or product
Expect an interactive, hands-on session with live mapping and real cases. You’ll walk away with a clear understanding of the disintermediation pattern, a working grasp of Wardley Maps, and a sharper strategic lens you can apply immediately.
This session also lays the foundation for the full series, where we’ll delve into patterns such as absolute convenience, adjacent moves, intelligence advantage (data and AI), and utility-scale consolidation. More sessions will be announced soon.
