For the first in the series of Lean IT meet-ups, I am extremely honoured to have both Mike Burrows and Karl Scotland being able to present. Spaces will be limited to 100 and please register with Skills Matter / Code node to access the building.

1st keynote: Mike Burrows - Managing change in the 21st century: what we've learned and where we must do better (45 min)
Drawing some modern lessons in change from diverse sources - Lean, Clean Language, Kanban, Lean Startup, Cynefin, and Agile - we will look at ways to approach Lean-Agile transformation self-consistently.

2nd talk: Karl Scotland - Leading Lasting Learning: Becoming a Lean Enterprise with Strategy Deployment (45 min)
Learning is a key part of both Lean and Agile. Learning about customer needs and how to most effectively meet those needs. But as well as learning how to solve today's problems, we need to be able to solve tomorrow's problems, and next weeks, and next years. We need to learn how to learn. This talk will describe how Strategy Deployment can be used to lead lasting learning, with some tools and techniques that can help achieve that goal.

Wrap-up: Philippe Guenet - Overview of Lean IT curriculum (10min)
Lean IT has not been as mainstream as other agile methods, though it has been the basis of some successful transformations such as ING Bank. Lean offers a great complement to the standard agile frameworks. This talk will cover what is Lean IT and the curriculum for Lean IT certification.

Further Lean IT meets have been scheduled for January and March 2018.
A big thank you to Skills Matter for providing the venue for our first Meet-up.
