ASL FOR KIDS! Level 1 Beginner Intro Class

Time: 9:00am- 9:45am
The ASL beginner course is designed to introduce and teach children (Ages 5-10) American Sign Language, a visual language used by the Deaf community in the United States and Canada. This course is fun energized course catered to kids to learn ASL and have fun while doing so! Children will learn ASL and be rewarded in different fun ways for their efforts.
The course covers basic vocabulary, grammar, and syntax, as well as cultural aspects of the Deaf community. They will learn how to sign the alphabet, numbers, common phrases, and simple sentences, and will practice their receptive and expressive skills through interactive activities and exercises. The course also includes information about the history of ASL.
By the end of the course period, kids will be able to communicate in ASL as a level 1 learner. They will have a better understanding of Deaf culture and identity.
