Career Conversations: Economic Development and Tech Careers in Tampa

Please Join Adam Myers of the Tampa Economic Development Council as he leads us in a lively discussion about the exciting things happening in Tampa. Tampa was recently named a top 5 area for job growth and a growing tech and cyber hub. Exciting things are happening in our city and we are pleased to welcome the EDC to SecureSet.

About our Speaker:

A Business Development Manager with the Business Development team of the Tampa Hillsborough EDC, Adam Myers joined the team in October 2014. He is responsible for managing business recruitment, retention and expansion projects for all of Hillsborough County. Before moving to Tampa, Myers spent over two years in economic development with the Greater Pensacola Chamber as an Economic Development Coordinator. During his time there, he supported the Chamber’s economic development efforts by managing both their sites, buildings database, and business continuity efforts. In addition to his day-to-day roles, Myers assisted with proposal development for prospects interested in relocating or opening operations in Pensacola. He was also involved on the development of a regional five year economic development strategic plan and the launch of a new economic development focused website. Myers graduated from the University of West Florida with a bachelor’s in Communications. A native of in Spring Hill, Fla, he was excited

For those who have not been to our beautiful new building before, public parking is available in the Palm Parking Garage. There are two-hour parking spots available along the street as well. The main entrance to SecureSet is located on the patio at the East side of the old Don Vicente hotel. You will see an open black gate at the back-right corner of the East patio. Take the stairs to the second-floor patio and enter through the French doors.
