Under the Hoodie: Tech Experts Talk Branding Yourself and Landing The Dream Job

SecureSet Tampa presents Under the Hoodie, a series of professionalization panels and workshops that feature tech and career experts from our community. In a series of one-hour panel discussions, Under the Hoodie will bring you face-to-face with seasoned technology professionals working in cyber, infosec, IT and more! You will receive the most up-to-date information on careers and trends, networking how-tos, interview and resume guidance, and personalized advice for building your personal and professional brand and becoming even more competitive and sought-after in the workforce.

This one-hour panel discussion will feature three seasoned professionals currently working in technology with a proven track-record of success. They will cover the following:

• How to build your brand and why that's important for your career

• Leveraging your brand to advance your career in tech

• Networking in the tech community

• Getting out of your comfort zone

• Speaking to recruiters and approaching hiring managers

• Maintaining professional awareness in a rapidly changing technology environment

This free event is a wonderful opportunity to network with experts and ask career questions in a relaxed and fun environment. It is open to all those who wish to further their careers, grow their network, and grow professionally. Whether you’re a student, recent college graduate, transitioning your career, or a seasoned tech professional, this event will be informative and fun.

This panel will start promptly at 6pm at SecureSet and there will be a networking social afterward at a local Ybor establishment.

Parking Information and Directions:

For those who have not been to our beautiful new building before, public parking is available in the Palm Parking Garage. There are two-hour parking spots available along the street as well. The main entrance to SecureSet is located on the patio at the East side of the old Don Vicente hotel. You will see an open black gate at the back-right corner of the East patio. Take the stairs to the second-floor patio and enter through the French doors.
