Hacking 101: NEW! Smash the Stack

Details
Smash the Stack! We are shaking it up a bit this week before we head into Spring Break. Join us for some fun as we teach you how to perform a buffer overflow exploit on a 64-bit linux system. There are a lot of resources that walk people through performing basic buffer overflows on 32-bit Linux and Windows systems but notably fewer on 64-bit systems. The exploit development session concludes with a demonstration of ASLR and DEP and how those mitigation techniques stop the exploit from reliably working. We will have VirtualBox images people can access on our server with all the necessary tools and source code preloaded. Don't forget your laptop! Directions:
For those who have not been to our beautiful new building before, public parking is available in the Palm Parking Garage. There are two-hour parking spots available along the street as well. The main entrance to SecureSet is located on the patio at the East side of the old Don Vicente hotel. You will see an open black gate at the back-right corner of the East patio. Take the stairs to the second-floor patio and enter through the French doors.
Please also see Kim and sign in on the SecureSet tablet.
