Beginner’s Intro to Capture The Flag + Comic-Con Raffle

All attendees will be able to participate in a raffle for 2 Comic-Con tickets at the end of the night for Sunday August 5th.

Feeling like a cyber-n00b? Our Intro to CTF event is a great way for beginners to jump into the world of hacking. Our SecureSet instructors can help you configure your system and coach you along the way. You’ll be a flag-catching maestro in no time!

Agenda:
5:00 – 6:00 PM | Beginner’s intro to CTF

What to bring:

• Linux or some other *nix system that they prefer. It can be a VM or bare metal system.
• Ability to access 802.11n (2.4 GHz) wireless or if desired, the ability to connect to ethernet.
• Most levels can be done with an SSH client and a web browser.

****If you need help getting your system configured per the above requirements, come early (5p) to get help from one of our instructors!

Public parking is available in the Palm Parking Garage. There are two-hour parking spots available along the street as well. The main entrance to SecureSet is located on the patio at the East side of the old Don Vicente hotel. You will see an open black gate at the back-right corner of the East patio. Take the stairs to the second-floor patio and enter through the French doors.

If you love hacking and you enjoy a little competition, you won’t want to miss out on our CTF events. CTF is a way to put your real-life hacking skills to the test in a safe and controlled environment. If you get stumped, our Academy staff can answer any questions you have.
