Hacking 101: Intro to WiFi Security
We all use it, but how does WiFi actually work? In cybersecurity, it’s imperative that you can answer this question. This 101 will give you a deeper understanding of this everyday tool. We’ll not only take a closer look at the logistics behind WiFi, but also best practices for securing your WiFi connection. Most importantly we’ll introduce you to spectrum analyzers and help you answer the timeless question: Why does my WiFi suck sometimes?

This SecureSet Hacking 101 workshop is eligible for 2 hours of CPE credit! Ask a SecureSet staff member at the event if you would like to receive a CPE certificate.

Parking:
Public parking is available in the Palm Parking Garage. There are two-hour parking spots available along the street as well. The main entrance to SecureSet is located on the patio at the East side of the old Don Vicente hotel. You will see an open black gate at the back-right corner of the East patio. Take the stairs to the second-floor patio and enter through the French doors.

Hacking 101 is perfect for cyber-n00bs. These events feature hands-on workshops that are designed to help beginners learn and/or advance their hacking skills. If you’re looking to get a taste of what cybersecurity is all about, then you won’t want to miss these events.
