New party formation for intermediate players of D&D and other RPGs

Many RPG stories begin, “You are an adventurer, and you stopped into a roadside pub”.. so let’s do that for real! This is not a play session—it’s a way to form the groups that will play in the future. Maybe you are too experienced to do the events for D&D absolute beginners. Maybe you want to try a different kind of RPG. Maybe you want to become a Game Master and find a group of new players. Maybe you just want to meet others to talk about stuff. No matter what kind of adventure you seek, this pub meetup starts your quest.

Come to the BrewDog bar across the street from Fortitude Valley station—look for the blue sign. Find the table in one of its three rooms with books that have dragons on the cover. We will probably be up- or downstairs. It’s OK to come late.

Please note: If you are an absolute beginner to D&D, we suggest that instead of this event, your best way to get started with D&D is another event series -- it will be January 2026 at the latest. But if you are interested in a different kind of RPG, such as one with fewer rules and more improvisation, this still may be a good event to attend.
