Learn To Give and Receive Love

Hi all. This will be on of the last Learn to Give and Receive Love groups. Please join me and help me make this event a beautiful one. I’m hopeful it will. I don’t have too much of an objective or intention for this group other than celebration and connection. I’m grateful to have started this group and to anyone who joined the group itself and came to one of the events. It’s been an honor. Life is a beautiful thing and to share the experience with fellow brothers and sisters is a miracle. Let’s join hands and make this sh*t miraculous :)

This event will be heart circle format. We are blessed to be in a gorgeous yoga studio which the owner has cultivated such a cozy tender environment. I will ask after the event if we feel so inclined to consider a donation whatever amount feels comfortable to be contributed to the studio. We will be in a circle on meditation cushions or chairs if needed and open and share our hearts. This event is for growth. It’s for looking at what holds us back from living in peace love and joy. It’s about truth. We do this together, because it’s not meant to be done alone.

My most recent realization to bring about more loving kindness towards myself has been the power of affirmations. I have been going for walks and speaking out loud saying the opposite of what all my old programs, my old stories based upon lack have been for most of my life. My most relevant example and one that many may relate to is fear of public speaking. I have been going to open mics and giving vulnerable heart talks in front of a crowd. I, like a lot of people want to feel like I fit in. I want people to be proud of me and want to be received well. The stakes for me are higher when I speak for a group of people whom I see as a group that I’ve always wanted to fit in with. Portland pushes those buttons for me when I see artsy folk with colored hair and cool vintage clothing hanging in a group. I feel a yearning to be apart of it. My conversations go like this: I love being on stage in front of people. I am at ease while I am on stage in front of people. I am confident in my ability to speak in front of people. I am whole. I am complete. I am courageous while I’m on stage in front of people. I am love. I am proud of myself.
Leach botanical garden is a beautiful beautiful space. There’s an energy about it, a charm and has an amazing circular sky bridge. My intention for this field trip is for all of us to reflect on where we feel we are looking outside of ourselves for happiness. What fears are holding us back. What stories or programs are we still stuck on and what is a phrase we can say that reprograms those old stories.
We will walk around the sky bridge speaking our personal affirmation into existence. We will repeat the phrase or several phrases as many times as we feel we need to embody it. After we go around the sky bridge once twice or 20 times we can all stroll around the garden and enjoy the beautiful Saturday together.
The garden has a $8 entrance fee.
