Raízes e Ritmos — Phase 2 (The Journey Continues)

Raízes e Ritmos returns with Phase 2, marking the next step in a journey that began with roots, and now moves into growth, clarity, and integration.
This phase is designed for dancers who completed Phase 1 (September 2025) and have spent the months since practising the foundations of Kizomba and Semba to now step forward as Improvers.
To support the continued growth of our community, Phase 2 also includes a dedicated foundation workshop, offering new dancers a structured entry point before joining the wider Raízes e Ritmos pathway. This ensures that everyone entering the space shares a common language, intention, and respect for the roots.
Led once again by Elvis and Namrata, dancers deeply grounded in Angolan culture, rhythm, and connection, Phase 2 builds deliberately on the principles established in Phase 1 — not as a reset, but as a progression.
This is not about collecting workshops. It’s about building dancers, relationships, and a community that grows together.

𝙀𝙡𝙫𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙉𝙖𝙢𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙖 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝘼𝙨𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙆𝙞𝙯𝙤𝙢𝙗𝙖 & 𝙎𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙖 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙊𝙡𝙮𝙢𝙥𝙞𝙖𝙙𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙨 (2022).

With over 10 years of teaching experience at RareGrooves Dance Academy, they’ve 𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙞𝙯𝙤𝙢𝙗𝙖 𝙎𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 across India through their 𝙍𝙖í𝙯𝙚𝙨 𝙚 𝙍𝙞𝙩𝙢𝙤 intensive weekenders, which, they will be conducting the first phase here in Kuala Lumpur this September.
They are also the first Asian instructors to teach in Angola, the birthplace of Kizomba Semba. They have trained extensively with renowned international artistes such as Bonifacio, Adilson, Tony & Carla, Eddy Vents and more.
