Welcome to Learn Spanish in Community! Join our group if you're looking to improve your Spanish speaking skills through engaging conversations and group activities. Whether you're a beginner or advanced speaker, this meetup is perfect for anyone wanting to practice and learn in a supportive community setting. Unlike that Spanish class you took in high school, classes at Spanish with Ariel focus on speaking! Each course (yes, even Beginner 101) is taught via immersion using the comprehensible input technique, which evidence shows is key in building conversational fluency. Enrollment opens on July 29 at 8:00am. Register early and save $100!
#### Fall Session FAQ
When do classes take place? Our fall classes meet once a week on Tuesday OR Thursday evenings and run from late September to mid December 2025.
Where are classes offered? Our classes meet on zoom.
When can I register? Registration opens on July 29, 2025 at 8:00am!
Do you offer discounts? Yes! Students who register by August 21 will save $100 on their enrollment! Signing up early is recommended, since classes tend to fill up.
Are your classes leveled? Yes. Beginner Spanish 101 is best for beginners with some prior exposure to Spanish (or another romance language) who are comfortable learning in an immersive environment and at a swift pace. Beginner Spanish for Travel is best for beginners who can have a brief conversation in Spanish in the present tense. Talking About The Past I is best for learners who are comfortable conversing in the present tense and are ready to learn the past tenses. Speaking Through Stories is best for intermediate-level learners who are comfortable conversing in Spanish using present and past tenses.
Do I have to purchase a textbook? Nope! Your enrollment includes all course materials, pre-class self-guided lessons, post-class exercises, 150+ digital vocabulary flashcards, and long-term access to all class recordings, materials and slides. In Speaking Through Stories students may need to purchase a graphic novel (stay tuned for details!).
What are your class sizes? Each class is capped at 8 students, so that you receive ample opportunities to practice speaking and the individual feedback necessary to improve your conversational skills.
What happens if I miss a class? All live sessions are recorded, so if you miss a class, you can watch the recording and catch up on what you missed!
