Community Interpreter Training

Are you bilingual? I am hosting an interpreter training this month! This training is ideal for bilingual individuals with some practical interpretation experience but no formal training. The course is designed to provide participants with a a foundation in basic skills for consecutive and simultaneous interpretation in the community setting.
The training will culminate in a written exam. Students who pass the exam will receive a certificate attesting to their successful completion of the course.
The training will take place in person at 3636 16th st NW, Washington, D.C. 20010 over three sessions scheduled on the following days and times:
Friday, May 16, 2025 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm
Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 9:00am to 1:00pm
Proceeds from the course will be donated to the Woodner Tenant's Union and will help prevent evictions, displacement and homelessness.
