TANGO London: CLOSE EMBRACE special course on Tuesdays
Details
TUE. 10/03: Beginners (7pm) + Special 8pm CLOSE EMBRACE course & 2 PRACTICAS
Today we will start with the Beginner lesson at 7pm on the theme of the Calesita.
And from 8pm: we are excited to continue our newest course, an intensive programme dedicated to building the close embrace, and understand the technique behind.
Dates will be every Tuesday, until 07/04 and is open to Improver and Intermediate levels. You can join the whole course or individual workshops.
What is our new course about?
Mastering the Close Embrace is a course designed to make your tango feel more connected, comfortable, and effortless—especially in milongas where space is limited. We’ll refine the embrace itself (posture, tone, breathing, elasticity, and how to “hold” without gripping), then build the technique that makes close embrace work: clean weight changes, grounded walking, shared axis awareness, dissociation without strain, and pivots that stay compact.
You will learn how to communicate clearly through the chest and intention, improve synchronisation and timing, and create fluidity through simple, high-quality movement.
Expect practical drills, guided partner work, and floorcraft training—how to find space, manage traffic, and move gracefully around the line of dance—so you finish with a calmer lead/follow, better musical response, and a close embrace that feels safe, elegant, and genuinely enjoyable for both partners.
