Tech Talk: No RAGrets: How to Customize LLMs for Your Data with Retrieval Augmented Generation

Abstract: LLMs (large language models) have taken the world by storm, transforming how we interact with technology through natural language understanding and generation. Nearly everyone has interacted in some way with these models, but do you know how to apply these models to your data safely, securely, ethically, and profitably? In this how-to demonstration, you will learn the fundamentals for building a basic retrieval augmented generation (RAG) LLM system. After this meetup, you will be ready to apply these skills—with your own data, and on your own platforms—to bring the benefits of RAG LLMs to your organizations. While the demonstration will be done in a Google Colab notebook, the information is designed to benefit those working with LLMs in any environment.

Tech Talk: AI and Intellectual Property

Abstract: Recent legal matters have addressed whether AI can obtain Intellectual Property rights and weather it infringes other's intellectual property rights. Using AI as part of decision systems has been subject to criticism. In this talk, I will review these issues and future ones which may come up.
