With all versions of PHP 7 now officially EOL (end of life) any plugins you develop, or have developed, must support PHP 8. While WordPress does run on PHP 8, many plugins do still not support it fully.

In this workshop, we'll look at how to can test your plugins for PHP compatibility, in order to get them updated.

If you want to work with me during this session, you will need the following:

  1. Access to a WordPress install
  2. A text editor to edit WordPress files.

I will be using Visual Studio Code as a text editor for the workshop.

Audience: Developers
Level: All levels welcome
Where: Zoom (link will be visible after RSVP)

This session is being held at an EU/Africa/US Eastern-friendly time. If you cannot get to the live session, keep an eye out for the recording we’ll be publishing on WordPress.tv and learn.wordpress.org after the session is completed :-)

See you soon!
