The WordCamp US Contributor Day will take place on the 17th of September, 2024!

How can I prepare for Contributor Day?

  • Sign up for the Online meetup right here.
  • Create a [wordpress.org account](https://login.wordpress.org/register) if you don’t have one already. This account will be used for all contributing activities.
  • Create a [gravatar.com account](https://gravatar.com/) if you'd like to use an image/avatar on your WordPress Profile. Go to gravatar.com and create an account using the same email.
  • Join the international Make WordPress Slack workspace.
  • To join, you'll need an invite. While logged in with your wordpress.org account, visit the WordPress + Slack page and click the link to receive the invite via email.
  • From the email, log in to the Slack team. For your email address, use {username}@chat.wordpress.org, where {username} is the username you picked for wordpress.org. If possible, choose the same username for Slack.
  • Join the #training Slack channel.
  • If you don’t already use Slack, you can access it here.
