So, we are doing Kaggle competitions again! Everybody is welcome. If you want to get better at data wrangling, feature engineering, model selection or just want to have fun solving non-trivial data science problems, this is the right group to join!
To accommodate everyone who is interested, we will livestream the meeting. Details for joining the livestream will be emailed to those who RSVP and will posted in a comment below closer to the date.
New meeting format After a short presentation, we will discuss one of the competitions. This week it's Titanic (https://www.kaggle.com/c/titanic) which is one of the "Getting Started" competitions. To get the most out of the meeting, you should look at this ahead of time. There are past solutions available and forum discussions.
While you're in Kaggle, browse the other competitions and bring your suggestions for the next one for us to discuss. Completed and "Getting Started" competitions are best because they will have posted solutions and we'll avoid tangling with the rules for active competitions.
