Learn Finnish by Speaking in Pairs (All Levels) – Using a Finnish-English Book

Free Finnish Conversation Practice Session

We invite you to a free, in-person learning session designed to help you practice Finnish speaking in pairs, using bilingual Finnish-English books.

This session is ideal for learners who benefit from a collaborative and interactive environment. Whether you are a beginner or aiming to enhance your fluency, you are warmly welcome to participate.

We practice mainly speaking using the book Finnish for Foreigners 1 by Maija-Hellikki Aaltio. If possible, please bring your own copy or borrow one from the library. A limited number of extra copies will be available for those who don’t have the book. We will arrange to share the book with you in one way or another; hence, you are welcome to join without the book.
Moreover, you are free to discuss and agree with your pair and practice Finnish through engaging activities such as picture games, flashcards, watching videos, and focused exercises that highlight one topic per class. For these different activities, you need to bring materials yourself.
