Winter Stories
Details
It is the same every year. Spring, summer, and fall are such delightful seasons that I blissfully forget that we will have a winter season. Then, suddenly, it is bitter cold, snowy, icy, and I’m feeling trepidation knowing it’s going to be like this for longer than I want it to be. On the other hand, winter can be beautiful. I really do love the landscape after fresh snow and a quiet night when the stars and moon shine brightly and the snow sparkles.
How about you? What is your take on winter? What are you looking forward to? What are you less thrilled about? Are you more of a love winter or leave winter person? Somewhere in between?
Whether this is your first winter in Minnesota or you are a seasoned navigator, you’ve got stories about winter. Stories of winters past and stories you’ve heard from others when you told them you were moving to Minnesota. Stories of driving and walking on icy roads and sidewalks, stories about your favorite winter activities, how it’s dark most of the day and what that does to your mood and energy, stories of travel and shifts in your routine.
As I write this it is snowing and blowing out there - winter has arrived! Let’s help each other prepare for and thrive through winter this year. Join us to share your stories, tips, and strategies.
As always, we look forward to engaging discussion and creating community as we learn from each other, evolve, and grow in this chapter of our lives. If you are able, join us for a social hour after our discussion at a local restaurant.
