How we spend our days is how we spend our lives.

For many of us, retirement - our “FREEDOM” years - is a time to do and be the things we may have put off in our “EARN” years. Constraints on time, resources, and responsibilities meant many things on our to-do list would have to wait. And now here we are – in retirement with the freedom to do it all, right?
Perhaps retirement is everything you planned and hoped for - or maybe it is so much more than what you imagined it could be - or maybe not.
Join us for a conversation to reflect on how you are spending your time in retirement compared to how you imagined you would spend your time.
We will be using this seven-minute animated short film made in Ireland, directed by John Kelly, and narrated by Domnhall Gleason, as a jumping off point for our conversation. I encourage you to watch it prior to our meetup. I will also be sharing the film in our meeting.

I am curious to hear what this film brings up for you. You will likely relate to many of Ray’s ideas for retirement – and smile about a few of his unique ones. I am guessing it will spark a range of emotion too.
John Kelly has described his motivation for the film, “I wanted to make a film that explores how time, age and death creep up on you (but not make something miserable)”
For me, the film called to mind the quote -how you spend your days is how you spend your life. As I navigate retirement, this has become profoundly clear.
As always, we look forward to engaging discussion and creating community as we learn from each other, evolve, and grow in this chapter of our lives. If you are able, join us for a social hour after our discussion at a local restaurant.
