What we’re about
This Meetup group is for people who love great curries, like trying new restaurants, and who enjoy meeting new people. It's as simple as that.
The Curry Club meets about twice a month at a range of curryhouses which are in and around Ledbury, including Bromyard, Tewkesbury, Hereford, Malvern, Ross and occasionally Cheltenham.
We have our favourites - like the Everest Eatery in Malvern Link and Sitara in Ledbury - but we are always looking for new places to try.
There is no membership fee. However, everyone attending a curry night contributes £2 which goes towards paying the fee for the Meet-Up subscription, and at the end of the year, any surplus is donated to a local charity.
So if you love curries, like trying new places, and would like to 'meet up' with an eclectic group of fellow curry-lovers for some good food, conversation and laughter, then do come and join us!
(We deliberately keep membership number under 50 - and unfortunately this does mean there's a waiting list, and it may be quite a few months before a space is freed up).

Let’s talk curries with Suki Pantal! And then have one! (Malvern)
Malvern Cube, Albert Road North, WR14 2YF, Malvern, GBDuring the 2020 lockdown, local curry-lover Suki Pantal entertained us with Curry Cook-Along nights in which we cooked recipes together on Zoom with her.
Since then, Suki has gone on to give many live demonstrations at shows across the country, she has a regular cookery column in 2 local papers, she took part in Jamie Oliver’s cookbook competition on television, and she’s also written 2 curry cookbooks!
She’s kindly agreed to come along and talk to us about anything we’d like to know that is curry-related, e.g. recipes, spices, Indian cooking techniques, what’s involved with creating a recipe book, or what Jamie Oliver is like in real life!
Suki will spend an hour with us, after which we can enjoy a takeaway, or perhaps some people may like to make a curry to share… (No pressure!). Details to be confirmed nearer the time.
This event will take place at a private home, close to the Malvern Cube (WR14 2YF) on Albert Road North in Malvern (exact location will be sent to those attending). It starts from 6:00pm for a 6:30pm start with Suki, so we can eat around 7:30pm.
If anyone wishes to buy one of Suki’s books, she will bring some with her and be happy to sign them. Or you can buy them in advance. Her second book, No Worries, Just Chicken Curries, by Nourish Books, will be released on 11th November. It is currently available for pre-order on Amazon with a 25% discount – Suki says best to buy it there (before it’s published and discount disappears), and she can sign it later, if you so wish.
For those of you not familiar with Suki, here’s a quick bio:
