The walk starts and finishes in the delightful woodland clinging to the steep rocky hillsides on which sits the charming West Yorkshire village of Heptonstall. It takes on well defined tracks over Heptonstall and Wadsworth moors with magnificent views over the reservoirs before descending to Lumb falls and back to woodland paths.

The walk starts from the social club carpark at 9.45am please arrive in time to get your boots on before we set off. The club asks for a donation in the box towards parking.
This is a CHA 'A' walk moderate to strenuous in nature with several short steep climbs and descents. Around 13 miles in length and approx 2500 feet of ascent.
Woodland paths can be slippery at times please wear sturdy boots and appropriate clothing for the expected weather conditions and bring plenty of water and food.

There is no charge to attend the first three CHA walks, but to attend further walks we request that you join our club for an annual membership of only £6.00. This will give you access to an unlimited number of walks.
