What we’re about
A safe place for doubters, seekers and believers to socialise, discuss and share with people who have Christ as their foundation and love for humanity at their core. We meet regularly to engage in Christ centred activities ranging from film nights to hot topic discussions and more - offering you opportunities for discussions, interactions and networking.
No matter who you are, what you are or where you are from - all are welcome! Participants can also join online from anywhere in the world - so go ahead and register (RSVP) to any of our meetups that take your fancy. We look forward to seeing you at our next meetup event.
We also maintain a Leeds Christian Meetup WhatsApp group for members to network and socialise. If you want to be added to the WhatsApp group, please email your mobile phone number and name to [LCM.UK@virginmedia.com](mailto:LCM.UK@virginmedia.com) .

======================= END OF NOTICE ======================Join us for an inspiring and transformative gathering at the Leeds Christian Meetup as we explore the profound theme, “The Miraculous Power of Spoken Words.” Our words hold incredible power, both to build up and to tear down, and as followers of Christ, we are called to wield this power wisely, in accordance with God’s will.
The Scriptures speak often of the creative and destructive force of our words. In the book of Genesis, we see that God spoke the universe into existence: “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light” (Genesis 1:3). This divine act demonstrates the tremendous power of words to bring forth life and creation. Similarly, we are reminded in Proverbs 18:21 that “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Our words can either give life or cause harm, making it essential that we speak with grace, truth, and love.
Jesus Himself spoke words of healing and restoration, as we read in Mark 5:41, “Talitha cumi,” which means, “Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.” These words, spoken with divine authority, brought a dead girl back to life. The same power resides in the words of believers when spoken in faith and in accordance with God’s will.
Come and be encouraged to speak life and blessing, knowing that your words, empowered by the Holy Spirit, can transform lives and circumstances. Together, let us rediscover the miraculous power of our spoken words in Christ.
Spread the word—your voice matters!
We look forward to seeing you there!
