Discussion: Should we tithe?

Hello there! Next discussion will not be the last Thursday of the month but the Thursday before (as I can't make the last Thursday).

So on Thursday 19th we'll be meeting to discuss tithing. The practice of tithing usually refers to giving 10% of your income away, often to church, but it could be other things. It was a practice that originated in the Jewish law, but for Christians in 2026 UK, is this something we should still be doing? Is it something God requires? Does it not matter? What should our attitude towards giving be?
