Trails SE of Wakefield
Details
PLEASE NOTE CHANGED DATE!
A £1.00 attendance fee is payable at the start. This is to go towards the Group's administration fees so please come prepared - thanks.
This is a mainly flat and level ride to the south-east of Wakefield, taking in Wintersett and the Hemsworth/Upton area, following abandoned railway lines, bridleways and other interesting trails. These give an enjoyable flowing ride without too much vegetation, though there may be a few nettles and brambles here and there I'm afraid.
There is no café stop during the ride, so you will need something to eat as well as drink. We will be passing a couple of convenience stores along the way, and snack food is available from Asda at the start.
There will however be an optional loo stop at Hemsworth Water Park about two-thirds of the way round.
Time: 09:45 for 10:00 departure.
Meet: By the recycling bins at Asda superstore, Asdale Road, Wakefield, WF2 7EQ.
