Ride Description:

We set of on the tarmac road for about a mile before turning off on to High Cam Fell Track heading towards Wharedale at the high point we pick up the Pennine Bridleway which takes us down the Fell side back to the road we take another track which takes us up and over Wold Fell then down Arten Gill under the Magnificent Railway Viaduct which spans this valley we are now in Dentdale heading towards the picturesque village of Dent we have a couple of miles of Tarmac on this quiet back road before we take at track up the fell side a long steep climb takes us over the shoulder of Whernside before a rocky descent back down to the magnificent Ribblehead Viaduct. There is no café stop on this route so please bring your own food.

TECHNICAL / PHYSICAL DIFFICULTY: Some long hard climbs with a total ascent of about 2800 ft and some rocky descents make this a hard challenging ride so a good level of fitness required.

A very spectacular and rewarding ride, with the highest hill in Yorkshire under your belt.
